On December 8th, 2016 WAACA (World Architecture Awards for Chinese Architecture) released the award winners. URBANUS project OCT-LOFT Renovation won WA Achievement Winner Award, Little Ant Shadow Play Theater in Qianmen, Beijing won WA Social Equality Highly Commended Award, The Environmental Enhancement of the Five-Dragons Temple in Ruicheng, Shanxi won WA Design Experiment shortlisted Award.
WAACA was established by the World Architecture Magazine and is one of the most influential and authoritative professional award in the current architecture field. WAACA sets six awards, in which WA Achievement Award aims to encourage exemplary projects of long-term value; WA Social Equality Award aims to encourage outstanding projects which embody humanistic care by the means of architecture; WA Design Experiment Award aims to encourage projects which make experimental explorations in the concept and practice aspects.
