Kingway Brewery is located in Luohu, the downtown district of Shenzhen, also renowned as the earliest developed district of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. With Shenzhen’s industrial upgrade and development from a “manufacturing city” to an “intelligent city”, the 11,600 m2 industrial heritage of Kingway Brewery has become an important witness to the city’s production and development. URBANUS proposes “making on-site”, preserves the brewery’s architectural aesthetics and characteristics of that age, and thus make it a reflection of the zeitgeist.
