The aim of the competition is to improve the function of public service of Luhu Scientific and Technological Culture Area, with an aim to create a high-quality public building group as the area’s landmark and with cluster efficiency, to fulfill its development goal as a regional scientific and technological service center radiating its influence on the north of Shenzhen and surrounding cities. Three tenders are included in the competition including the First tender, The urban design of Luhu Public Building Group Area and the conceptual architectural design of Comprehensive Service Center I, the Second tender, The conceptual architectural design of A Public Building Group (Library, Public Art Center and Grand Theatre) and the Third tender, The conceptual architectural design of B Public Building (Group) (Science and Technology Museum).
URBANUS was shortlisted in the competition and won the first Place of the first and third tender while listed as 2nd Place of the Second tender.
